Ski Holidays
A Ski Holiday is the ideal way to get away and enjoy an alternative to the standard beach holiday which British people have loved over the last few decades. A Ski Holiday is perfect for young professionals or families and with so many resorts it’s hard not to get caught up in all the excitement normally associated with picking a resort.

When you choose your ski resort it’s always a good idea to check with your travel agent what slopes are suitable for your party as some resorts do not cater for the beginner or amateur skier. Once you have chosen your resort the next thing you should do is check out local prices for ski passes, food, and drink as some resorts can charge up to £15 for a pint of lager.

Once you have found a resort with your skill level and in your budget then it’s just a matter of doing some research on the local area to find out where and when transport starts to the ski areas, opening times of ski lifts and location of any medical centres should you have an accident. It is always a must that you check with your holiday insurance provider that your cover includes treatment for ski injuries as some insurance companies do not cover ski holidays.

If you are booking your flights separately from your accommodation then we suggest you ask your travel operator if there are any surcharges to carry skis and baggage as many low cost airlines have a habit of charging up to £30 each way to carry a simple pair of skis. If you are booking online you should also check weight restrictions as ski clothing can be very heavy and bulky which again can lead to extra charges with some airlines.
